School Update
Abby does seem to like school. It is "fun" and there are "bikes... kids... balls... triangles... circles... snacks." How can you beat that? (I think the shapes are in reference to mats next to the ball pit in the gym.)
Her teachers say she is doing great and are ready for her to start a full 3.5 hour day starting tomorrow.

First Day of School
Abby started started preschool today. We have been visiting on and off for about a month, but today was her first official day of school. Today she went for 1 hour. She will increase a half hour a day over the next week or so.
I couldn't get her to stand still for a portrait before we left for school.
After school, we explored some of the shared space between classrooms.

Sleep Challenges
After another 12 hour flight we are dealing with jet lag again. Late in the evening on the second night, Abby walked into our bedroom, laid down on the smallest rug in the house and went to sleep.
A few days later, I was exhausted at nap time but Abby didn't show any signs of sleepiness. I convinced her to stay in the crib with a few books. She ended up reading herself to sleep. (Dan said she was proving that she is a Stewart!) It worked so well I have been putting her to bed with books for the last three days. She requests Good Dog, Carl each time, which is a perfect choice as there are hardly any words in it.
In this picture I have just woken her up from a too long nap.

Snow!
We are still getting through the pictures from our trip to the States, but here are a few of Abby and cousin Juliet's adventures in the snow.
Abby was instantly excited; Juliet was more wary. It did however take a while to coax Abby into wearing her mittens.
The slide/swing set were cold and slippery but still fun.
Abby was tall enough to do ok in the deep snow...
Juliet needed some help.
I was surprised at how long they lasted, although Juliet made a beeline for the door as soon as we got close enough.
