What is this animal? Abby wants to know what everything in every book is, but I have no idea what this little guy is. I call it a rodent but she must be able to hear the uncertainty in my voice and just keeps asking over and over again.

Oh Dear!

Friday morning Abby got into the Vaseline when we thought she was playing nicely in her room. She got it all over her clothes, one of her teddy bears (sorry Uncle Pat) and she got huge amounts in her hair. It was so funny we posed her for a few pictures before putting her in the bathtub.





It took 8 washes over 2 days to get it out.

The Mom Cut

Abby has now been through a rite of passage: first mom haircut. Born of necessity, rather than confidence that I could do a good job, I cut Abby's bangs today. Here's a picture from last week.

The bangs are definitely not straight and I will probably be chasing her with scissors for days getting the stray hairs I missed, but it is not terrible. As soon as we have a car (hopefully very soon), I won't have to do this and will be able to take her to a professional.

Grandma and Grandma gave Abby this stand-in for Chichi for Christmas. Hopefully Abby will treat the real Chichi a little differently next time she sees her.

Children's Museum

We have a great children's museum here. It's not very big but each exhibit is very well done. We have a membership and have been a number of times already but today was the first time I remembered the camera.

It's great that Abby is growing into the features she got from Daddy.

She Did It!

After weeks of trying, Abby finally figured out how to walk in Daddy's shoes. She is definitely showing some creative problem solving.
