First History Lesson?

Abby slept through the entire visit to the USS Constitution with Joy and Otto.

Friends from far away

Abby had her first international visitors this week. Joy and Otto came all the way from Sweden!





Abby really liked Otto's fingers. She fell asleep sucking on them multiple times.

Overalls

"Mom, where are my work boots? These frog shoes are not going to cut it on the job!"


These pants just came out because they are the rare "4-6 mo" size. They were Abby's first piece of clothing, picked out by grandma when I was barely showing, and before we knew if Abby was a girl or a boy.

You may have started to notice how many pictures I am taking with Abby in the corner of the couch. She sits up really well there. In a few weeks or a month she will probably be able to sit up all on her own. Incidentally, she has started to smile for the camera.

Abby has started grabbing at everything, including the camera. I tried to see how close I could get before she grabbed at it, but she ended up grabbing the cord of the camera wrist band instead.

14 pounds!

Dots

This week Abby is really interested in polka dots. Luckily she has a lot of them.

Screech and Chew

Abby learned a new noise this week. She shows it off a little in this video. (Her friend, Will, also lost his binky.)

New Hampshire

We took a short trip to New Hampshire this weekend with some friends. Dan took Abby sledding. She didn't seem to care either way about it.

Highchair

It will be another month before we give Abby any solid food, but she was so sad every time we put her in her bouncy seat during dinner that we decided it was time for a highchair.



The funny thing was that those spoons are about the only thing Abby has not wanted to put in her mouth.



(Clearly the shoulder straps were in the wrong place. We have fixed them.)

She fell asleep with the lovey under her arm and slept with it there her whole nap. I don't think she even knew it was there but it was pretty cute when she woke up.

Pajamas in the park

On the first nice day in months, we headed out to check out the park in our new neighborhood. It was too warm for Abby's winter gear and too cold to go in her regular clothes so Abby was wearing some fleece pajamas over her clothes. (She has a coat to wear once she gets a little bit bigger.) It was a little too windy for Abby to really enjoy it.



Abby is still too little to really use any of what the park has to offer but there is one swing in which mom and baby can (barely) fit in together.

Baby's First Package

Today Abby got her first package. It turned out to be some new books from Nana and Papa.



She seems much more excited about this package than she was about her first piece of mail.
